That’s right, ya swabs, Talk Like a Pirate Day is once again upon us, and it be all hands on deck for a bounty of fun and plunder. The crew has been hard at work, and heartily motivated by threats of floggings and watered-down rum rations, getting all the cannons firing properly for the Pirate Swarm game mode in Arena Commander, and thus granting you a shot at the infamous pirate Gladius.
From now until September 20, we’ve also got a screenshot contest for all you crow’s nest photogs out there, a classic piratical paint scheme now in game, and a brand-new set of chrome liveries shinier than the shiniest treasure. Oh, and we heard a rumor that the infamous Nine Tails, emboldened by this freebooter’s free-for-all, have returned to Crusader, intent on taking Orison once and for all.
Take On The Swarm Looking for a new livery for your favorite fighter or hauler? Take on the Pirate Swarm mode of Arena Commander, where wave after wave of NPC combat craft tests your mettle. Complete the game mode to unlock the ability to put the Pirate Gladius or Pirate Caterpillar in your hangar via the pledge store, making you the envy of your fellow ne'er-do-wells.
