Alpha 3.13 Underground Infamy Full Patch Notes Read them here Welcome to Star Citizen Alpha 3.13 Release Date: April 22, 2021 Orazio pointed the Constellation at the surface and patted the controls like the head of a loyal-but-aging pet. Anri’s Revenge was an old bird, and it showed, but it never let him down. Approaching the cargo drop-off, a group of ground buggies screamed out of a nearby cave, causing Orazio to throttle back. Probably just racers, he assumed, before scanning one to be sure. Expecting a motorsport org, his heart dropped as RocketFox9 flickered onto the screen followed by a missile lock warning. Panicked, Orazio dumped his countermeasures and sprinted to the rear of the ship, stumbling as a blast rocked the hull. He leaped into the waiting Merlin and dropped out of the Connie just in time to see a missile erupt from a distant Cyclone. He pointed the snub in the opposite direction and gunned it…

Mothership Connection Read More About It Hide Description New Feature: Ship-to-Ship Docking Alpha 3.13 premieres ship docking with the RSI Constellation and its parasite craft, the Kruger Merlin. Players can now launch from inside the three variants with an onboard Merlin Connie and return in one seamless journey. This is the first iteration, with more ships receiving support in coming patches.

The implementation of ship-to-ship docking paves the way for ship-to-station docking, which will reach the ‘verse in a coming patch release.

Sign of the Times Read More About It Hide Description Update: Signed Distance Field Shields Ship shields have been given a visual makeover and now utilize signed distance field (SDF) technology. This means shields now wrap closer to a ship’s geometry, clearly showing the impact zone and highlighting if the shield is low by turning red when nearing depletion.

SDF shields are now functional on all ships across the ‘verse, from the biggest gunship to the smallest run-around.

Mine & Yours Read More About It Hide Description New Vehicle: Greycat Industrial ROC-DS The Greycat Industrial ROC-DS takes its smaller sibling’s mining prowess and ramps it up for two-player fun.

Featuring more than four times the SCU capacity as the ROC, an articulated mining arm, and an enclosed driver’s cabin for safer mining in treacherous locations, it’s a more efficient (and fun) way to work together.

Surface Tension Read More About It Hide Description New Vehicle: Tumbril Cyclone MT Tumbril’s latest Cyclone variant is drivable now. The MT has a surface-to-air missile launcher and a ballistic cannon designed to keep ground bases and working ships safe from air assaults.

Bad Reputation Read More About It Hide Description mobiGlas App: Reputation Manager The first iteration of the Reputation Manager is now available on the mobiGlas, giving players the ability to see their standing with the various organizations and mission-givers across Stanton.

Better reputation gives players better rewards for completed jobs and, in the future, will give access to organization-specific items and missions. Reputation will be a key feature in Star Citizen going forward, with players needing to think about who their actions will positively or negatively impact.

License & Registration Read More About It Hide Description New Feature: Vehicle Identification Alpha 3.13 introduces the Vehicle Identification System, enabling players to choose a unique name for their ships that can be displayed on the hull. A serial number can also be displayed on ships supporting the feature.

This is the first implementation and is available on the Crusader Mercury, Origin 600i and 890 Jump, Aegis Hammerhead and Reclaimer, and Anvil Carrack. More ships will be supported in coming patches but, for now, owners of these ships can head to the hangar on the RSI website to get started.

Going Underground Read More About It Hide Description New Content: FPS Cave & Delivery Missions To make the most of Alpha 3.13's more varied cave entrances, three new missions task players with eliminating targets underground. Whether you’re righteous or on the wrong side of the law, there are new adventures beneath the surface.

There are new ways to haul in credits too, with additional cargo missions throughout Stanton.

Quantum-sensitive cargo missions require you to complete deliveries without jumping between locations, while multi-drop missions task haulers with dropping off three packages within a set time.

Grand Opening Read More About It Hide Description Update: Vehicle-Accessible Caves & Sinkholes Explore the depths like never before thanks to four new cave entrances scattered around the system. The sinkhole entrance is only accessible by ship, while the drivable opening accepts wheeled vehicles of all types (including the new ROC-DS and Cyclone MT).

The flyable opening is large enough for a variety of ships, while the drivable and flyable cave can be accessed by a huge array of ships and ground vehicles. There's a new subterranean world out there, so get exploring!

The Color & Shape Read More About It Hide Description Update: Visual Improvements Across Stanton The ongoing visual improvements continue throughout Stanton, this time with more detailed asteroid variations and the all-new Degnous root harvestable.

Plus, Hurston’s and microTech’s moons, along with Yela, receive improved assets, geology, and ground cover to ensure these breathtaking locations look their absolute best.

Reaction Hero Read More About It Hide Description Update: Stagger Force Reaction Expanding on the addition of Force Reactions in the last patch, Alpha 3.13 introduces stagger to add further realism to traversal and combat.

Sitting between the smaller twitch and more significant knockdown, stagger is a character reaction to moderate weapon strikes and ship movements.

Work Smarter Read More About It Hide Description Update: New Mining Components Serious miners can now better plan their jobs by selecting sub-components for their lasers to give them the edge when cutting specific minerals or rock types.

Whether you’re searching for a specific ore or want to ramp up the power (and risk) to make a quick credit, there’s something to suit any dedicated deep-space pitman.

Wear & Tear Read More About It Hide Description Update: Hull Degradation It’s a hard life out in the stars, and it shows. In Alpha 3.13, player ships will proudly wear the scrapes and degradation of thousands of miles of hard-fought victory and toil.

This effect is only visual and ships will return to their ‘as-new’ state when repaired at any rest stop.

New Vehicles & Paints New Vehicles: Greycat ROC-DS & Tumbril Cyclone MT New Paints: Additional Paints for Many Ships in the ‘Verse Alpha 3.13 introduces two vehicles, the Greycat ROC-DS and Tumbril Cyclone MT, along with plenty of new paint options for ships already flyable in the ‘verse.

The DS is the two-seat variant of the ubiquitous Greycat ROC mining vehicle. You and a partner can work more effectively for longer thanks to a hugely flexible manual mining arm and more than double the ore storage of the original ROC.

Tumbril’s Cyclone MT takes everything good about the base variant and adds a Size 2 missile launcher and ballistic cannon. Designed to protect grounded ships and bases from airborne attack, the MT adds an explosive edge to the tried-and-tested Cyclone formula.
