Alpha 3.17.2 is in PTU Wave 3 What does this mean?
The Alpha 3.17.2 patch is currently in testing on the Public Test Universe (PTU). We've reached the next phase (wave 3) where we have opened to all backers. In the PTU, backers are encouraged to test features, content, and ships to ensure they're polished and ready for the upcoming live release. Testing occurs over several waves. Read on to learn more.
What are the PTU waves? Evocati: Our smallest group that helps us get our releases ready for wider public testing. It's made up of regular Issue Council contributors and our most active PTU testers.
Wave 1: All active Subscribers and Concierge members.
Wave 2: All of the above, plus players that have been highly active on the Issue Council and players with the most playtime across all game modes.
Wave 3 / Open PTU: All backers with a game package.
How do I join? There are a number of ways to join PTU testing:
Become a Subscriber to get immediate access to Wave 1
Be an active contributor and submit relevant bugs and feedback to the Issue Council
Join during Wave 3, which is open to all backers with a game package
