This Week in Star Citizen (17541)

Hello, everyone!

Our Limerick contest is now done. Thank you all so much for joining the fun. You worked on your poems all night, they filled devs with delight, and now, friends, three of you have won!

…and this is why I didn’t enter, but so many of you did, and you can check out the entries here! Thanks again to everyone who participated, we hope you had as much fun writing your limericks as we did reading them.

As you already know, the team’s heads down and hard at work getting Alpha 3.9 ready to go. Currently, our wonderful Avocados are hard at work testing it out. We’re very close to being able to open PTU up to a larger audience, and can’t wait for you all to get your hands on it. Stay tuned for more info!

Now, let’s see what’s going on this week: On Tuesday, the Narrative Team will release a brand-new lore post – “Tracker.”

Thursday will bring Monthly Reports for both the Persistent Universe and Squadron 42. There will not be an ISC this week, as the team is kicking off their quarterly three-week hiatus. They’ll be back with new episodes diving into the development of Star Citizen starting on the 23rd.

Friday brings a Roadmap update & Roundup, and the RSI Newsletter will be delivered right to your inbox. Subscribers can also look forward to updates to the Subscriber Vault. This week’s Star Citizen Live Gamedev will feature Art Director Paul Jones. He’ll look back and explore the process of developing the type of key art that typically accompanies concept ships like the Crusader Ares and more. Tune in to the Star Citizen Twitch chanel at 9am PDT to catch the action.

See you in the ‘verse!

Weekly Wisdom: Issue Council As we prep to open up Alpha 3.9’s PTU, it’s a great time to remember that you can help us polish the game and squash bugs by contributing to the Issue Council.

The Issue Council is a community-driven tool that allows you to assist us in polishing the PU by reporting on issues you encounter while playing! Create a report of the issue you’ve come across, or contribute to an existing report created by another player.

Extra details and reproduction steps are always vital when we’re looking at how we will need to go about prioritizing and ultimately fixing these issues. Any and all information you give us helps in our effort to make the PU experience as smooth as possible.

Learn more about the Issue Council and how you can help us squash existing bugs here!

Community MVP: MARCH 30th, 2020

We're constantly amazed by the contributions made by the Star Citizen community. Whether it's fan art, a cinematic, YouTube guide, or even a 3D print of your favorite ship, we love it all! Every week, we select one piece of content submitted to the Community Hub and highlight it here. The highlighted content creator will be awarded an MVP badge on Spectrum and be immortalized in our MVP section of the Hub. Don’t forget to submit your content to our Community Hub for a chance at seeing it here!

Mining Yield Calculator by TRFF We've all asked ourselves "is this one going to be worth it?" after scanning a rock on our mining expedition. TRFF has created a tool to help you answer that question with their Mining Yield Calculator. Plug in the stats of the rock in question, and this handy sheet will spit out an estimate of the worth of the rock!

Check out the calculator on the Community Hub here
